PHYSICAL THERAPY FAQS
Your Questions Answered
WHAT IS PHYSICAL THERAPY?
Physical Therapy (PT) is a healthcare speciality service that helps people recover from both an old or new injury, accident, or surgery. PT also helps when someone's body is simply not functioning normally, and/or doesn't feel the way it used to. PT commonly treats Low Back pain, Neck pain, Knee pain, and Shoulder pain. We evaluate the WHOLE BODY and determine the root of your pain to better treat you. Come see us first whenever you start having pain and we will get you up and moving fast, pain-free.
IS PHYSICAL THERAPY COVERED BY INSURANCE?
Yes. All treatment options we perform are covered by insurance. It will depend on your individual health plan to determine the cost of the treatment to you. Our front desk staff will be sure to work with you to determine how much each visit will be. We also offer some of our treatments as an a la carte (cash-based) service offering.
WHAT TYPES OF HEALTH INSURANCE DO YOU ACCEPT?
As of December of 2019, we accept most major insurance carriers such as Aetna, BCBS, Cigna, BCBS, and Medicare. We anticipate in early 2020 to accept UHC, Humana, Molina, Scott&White, Worker's Comp, Tricare, Medicaid, and many more. Regardless of insurance, we will make sure you get the care you need at an affordable rate. We are always striving to expand our community, please reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns.
HOW DO I KNOW IF I NEED PHYSICAL THERAPY?
If you are experiencing pain, discomfort, or have an area of your body that doesn't feel the way it used to feel, it's time to see a Physical Therapist. If you have recently had surgery, it's also likely you'll need PT.
DO I NEED A DOCTOR’S REFERRAL?
No. In the State of Texas, you can be evaluated and treated by a Physical Therapist without a doctor referral for 10-15 business days. Treatment beyond that time frame will require a PT referral (order) from your doctor.
WHAT IS YOUR NEW PATIENT PROCEDURE?
Appointments: To schedule an appointment, either call us, connect through social media, contact us via the webpage, or just swing by our incredible facility in person.
What to Bring: Before your first appointment, we will email or give you patient forms to fill out to expedite your time in the clinic and give you the most time with your therapist. Be sure to bring with you a copy of your Driver's License and medical insurance card.
What to Wear: All PT can be done in just about any attire. However, it is advised to wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows you to move freely. If our therapists feel you will benefit from the Neubie, this is when it is best to come wearing loose-fitted clothes. Most of our patients prefer to wear sneakers.
WHAT ARE THE SELF-PAY RATES?
While we take insurance, some patients prefer to pay out of pocket due to high deductible plans or for other financial reasons. We offer discounted rates on our services for those who prefer to self pay. For further information, please contact us for greater explanation.
